Who?

Participation in the 25+ single adult conference is limited to aged 25 and over single adult members, assigned Church officers, and age 25 and over single adult nonmembers who are willing to abide by Church standards. A person who is separated from his or her spouse or is seeking a divorce may not participate until the divorce decree has become final according to law.

If you are coming by

  • Road - The Stake Centre is close to Junction 32 on the M4
  • Rail - The nearest railway station is Rhiwbina
  • Coach - The nearest coach station is Cardiff City Centre
  • Air - The nearest airport is Cardiff Airport 

There are regular buses from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff City Centre and from the City Centre to the Stake Centre.

The numbers 21 & 23 buses stops outside the Stake Centre. Please check the timetable

I'm coming by public transport how do I get between the hotel and the Stake Centre?

Many of the people attending will have transport and will be happy to offer lifts to those who do not.

There may be a minibus but this will depend on numbers.

 

I have special dietary requirements, will it be possible to provide suitable food?

Please make sure you put your dietary requirement on your application form.

We will make sure that your dietary needs are communicated to the caterers who are experienced in meeting such needs.

 

The Friday night is a Barn Dance  - what should I wear?

Dress will be casual.

 

The Saturday night is Semi Formal - what should I wear?

Please come in smart clothing (no jeans).

 

If I am not attending the conference can I come to the dances?

Yes the dances on Friday and Saturday are open to all singles as is the Fireside on the Sunday evening.  We will be releasing more information about these nearer the time.

 

What are the categories for the Talent Show?

Each performance will be a maximum of 5 minutes
 
Singing (Solo, Duets & Groups)
Dancing
Lip-Syncing
Acting
Martial Arts
Comical Acts
Recitation
Playing an Instrument (We can provide a Piano, but otherwise you will need to bring your own instrument) 
Other activities to showcase your Talents/Skills
 
Please remember that all performances should be appropriate for a church audience.  
 
There will be auditions during the Convention and medals will be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The committee will overlook these auditions and the final selection of winners.
There will be a prize given to the person/groups chosen by attendees.
